The approach developed by SAFIRE to support children in street situations is based on the personal development of the child.
To do this, SAFIRE privileges a participatory approach in which the child plays a key role in the rehabilitation and reintegration process. Thus, our rehabilitation programs aim to accompany, mentor, and implement an individual action plan developed with the child. This action plan is closely monitored by the educator to achieve the best results so that the children acquire basic life skills, social norms and values and become independent in their daily life.
To achieve these objectives SAFIRE has developed a formula for intervention whereby a group of street children are “prise en charge” by a team of street educators.
Rehabilitation and reintegration programs through the Outreach program
One specific action of SAFIRE is the intervention in the direct environment of the child. Since its creation SAFIRE has always gone towards the beneficiaries and not the reverse.
